Ok, I have already posted this in facebook but I will just post it here again.
Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.
1) People have different ways of calling me. Some call me by Beng Kian , some call me Ah Beng, some call me bk.
2)I love it when strong winds are blowing at me. It allows me to forget any current problems and worries I might have. I used to go to the highest level of my HDB flat to feel the strong wind whenever I am feeling down.
3)People always think I'm very quiet. Every year in my end of year report book , the teacher will always comment that I need to speak up more. I'm quiet most of the time and prefer to listen rather than talk. But I can talk alot if I want to and if you are my friend. Strangers... hmm..
4)I made a comment in primary 3 during maths lesson saying that the maths lesson was too easy and boring and the teacher scolded me, saying that I should consider about other people who might not understand the lesson yet.
5)I don't own a mp3. Never once in my entire life. But I do listen to songs
6)I won a silver medal for hurdles in secondary two
7)I used to play soccer a lot in my primary school days and was thinking soccer would be the sports for me even when I grow older. I seldom play soccer nowadays. I play basketball
8)I joined computer club as a cca in secondary school because I think that uniform groups are pieces of crap that resorted to tricking and bluffing people with fake promises of cca points and rewards in order for them to gain record high number of members every year. I also refused to believe that uniform group would pave an easier path for you in army. I was right.
9)I won a silver medal for the maths olympiad in secondary 3. I didn't expect it and was rather surprised when I was told of it.
10)If I dislike someone, I don't show it to the person directly. I will always try to get someone to hint to that person.
11)I wanted to go NYJC intially but i went to JJC instead because of some reasons.
12)I misunderstood one of my close friend during the last month of primary 6(after PSLE) and used a bottle to whack his head.
13)I was with the table tennis team in primary school and thought of continuing it as a CCA in secondary school. But the passion just died off
14)I have played a lot of MMORPGs(Massive Mutliplayer Online Role-Playing Game) till date and I used to spend up lots of hours playing those MMORPGs. My record was 16 hours in a whole day with breakfast, lunch and dinner by the computer. My motto when playing MMORPGs is : Be the best player or don't play it at all.
15)I was a game Marshall during the World Cyber Games 2005 when the Grand Finals was held in Singapore Suntec Convention Hall. I finished playing the story mode of Dead OR Alive on xbox during that few days as a game marshall.
16)I didn't laugh or seldom laugh when watching comedy movies. Its not that I dun understand them but rather I don't find those contents funny while most of the people in the cinema are always laughing. Exceptions are some Jack Neo movies and some Zhou Xing Ci movies
17)I have a high level of tolerance but if you really make me go beyond my limit, you will get a volcano eruption from me.
18)I have a blog
19)I hate eating garlic, ginger, onion, vinegar, yam, peppermint and sweets. Don't bother to offer me any sweets if you do read this, I will just reject politely you every time.
20)I used to want to take accounting as a degree in university. But I changed my mind after realising that I wouldn't want to audit accounts for the rest of my working life
21)I learned abacus when I was young and I failed grade 3 abacus(mental) exams because my parents stood outside the exam classroom watching and made me distracted
22)I only completed 3 books up till now in my entire life. Of which 2 are literature books which I have to complete for my literature in sec 1 and 2. I get bored easily when reading books.
23)I used to use pencils till they are really really short, so short that they cant be sharpened by a sharpener(those big ones with a turning wheel) and I always keep them in my pencil box in secondary school.
24)I hated music lessons in primary school. Music lessons and the stupid recorder! Maybe it was the teacher who loved to threaten to give demerit points to students who did not revise the lessons at home.
25)I dislike mosquitoes and I believe they are the most useless piece of living thing in this planet. I have always thought of rearing Venus Fly trap plants to rid my surroundings of them. I hate cockroaches and ants too.

Daisy the cow has more milk
LONDON - COWS with names like Daisy, Gertrude or Buttercup produce more milk than their sisters with no names, according to a British study released on Wednesday.
Cattle who are given 'the personal touch' can produce up to 284 litres of milk a year, said experts at Newcastle University in northeast England.
'Just as people respond better to the personal touch, cows also feel happier and more relaxed if they are given a bit more one-to-one attention,' said Catherine Douglas, who conducted the research.
'By placing more importance on the individual, such as calling a cow by her name or interacting with the animal more as it grows up, we not only improve the animal's welfare and her perception of humans, but also increase milk production,' she added.
Almost half of those surveyed - 46 per cent - said the cows on their farms had individual names.
Dairy farmer Dennis Gibb from the Eachwick Red House Farm outside Newcastle said it was 'vitally important' to treat cows individually. 'They aren't just our livelihood - they're part of the family.
'We love our cows here at Eachwick and every one of them has a name. Collectively we refer to them as 'our ladies' but we know every one of them and each one has her own personality.'
The study was compiled by Newcastle University's School of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, based on interviews with 516 dairy farmers, and published in the online journal Anthrozoos. -- AFP
